Principal Investigator
Prof. Woo Jin Hyun
He is an associate professor of Materials Science and Engineering at GTIIT. He received his Ph.D. from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea, and served as a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University in the United States. His research interests include solution-processable 2D materials, electrochemical energy storage, and printed electronics.

Graduate Students
Yuxing Gu
She is a PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering. She obtained her master’s degree from Wuhan University and worked as a senior engineer in CATL for battery design and testing. Her research interests include electrochemical energy storage and solution-processable 2D materials. She likes traveling, photography, playing badminton, and running, which helps her develop concentration and have a great love for life.

Jiaming Li
He is a PhD student studying Materials Science and Engineering. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Oregon and Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University, respectively. His PhD study explores novel supercapacitor materials/systems, starting from 2025. He enjoys running, watching movies, and listening to classical music and opera.

Ziwei Wang
She is a master’s student majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. After graduating from Hebei Agricultural University, she joined the Hyun group in 2025. She is originally from Handan, Hebei, a city rich in historical heritage. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and taking evening walks. Strolling in the gentle breeze is especially comforting for her, offering a sense of peace and healing.

Yuxin Gong
He is a master’s student in Materials Science and Engineering. After finishing his undergraduate study at GTIIT, he joined the Hyun group in 2026, with an interest in electrochemical energy storage. Outside the lab, he enjoys fitness training, traveling, and motorcycling, reflecting his curiosity and passion for exploration. These diverse pursuits are the cornerstones of his rich and dynamic undergraduate experience.

Undergraduate Students
Chang Gao
She works as a research assistant in the group. She obtained her master’s degree in Chemistry from KU Leuven, Belgium, and is originally from Harbin. With background experience in thin film fabrication and photodetectors, her research focuses on energy storage. In her leisure time, she loves swimming, playing tennis, and watching women’s tennis, drawing inspiration from the athletes’ relentless spirit and immense vitality.
