Prof. Woo Jin Hyun

He is an associate professor of Materials Science and Engineering at GTIIT. He received his Ph.D. from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea, and served as a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University in the United States. His research interests include solution-processable 2D materials, electrochemical energy storage, and printed electronics.

Jian Du

He is a lab technician managing the Energy and Electronic Materials Lab. He is from Tai’an, Shandong province, and holds a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology from Beijing University of Chemical Technology. Before joining the Hyun group in 2022, he worked as an R&D engineer in industry for more than 5 years. In spare time, he enjoys jogging, swimming, and playing ping pong.

Huihui He

She is a master’s student studying Materials Science and Engineering. She received her bachelor’s degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and also served as a core partner for a startup company before joining the Hyun group in 2022. Her research interests include solution-processable 2D materials and printed electronics. She likes to sing songs, play badminton, and do yoga in her spare time.

Xinjie Luo

He is a master’s student majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from GTIIT, and joined the Hyun group in 2022. His research interests include solution-processable 2D materials and electrochemical energy storage. Outside of research, he enjoys swimming, fishing, and snorkeling, benefiting from the seaside life in Shantou.

Jiacheng Zhou

He is an undergraduate student pursuing a double degree in Materials Science and Engineering and Mathematics with Computer Science, and joined the Hyun Group in 2022. He has received academic excellent and extra-curricular scholarships and been recognized by the Vice Chancellor’s List. He has served as the president of the Youth Association of GTIIT, and loves adventure and reading history books in free time.

Qing Zhang

She is an undergraduate student majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. She was born and grew up in Guangzhou, Guandong province. She joined the Hyun group in 2022, and works on solution-processing of 2D materials for electronics. She is a core member of the Youth Association of GTIIT, planning and executing volunteer activities. In spare time, she enjoys playing badminton and swimming.

Jiongxi Lin

He is an undergraduate student studying Materials Science and Engineering, from Shenzhen, Guangdong province. He loves playing basketball, so his dream was to be a professional basketball player when he was a kid. However, he is now more interested in exploring materials science in electronics and electrochemical energy storage, which made him join the Hyun group in 2022.

Songwen Chen

He is an undergraduate student in Materials Science and Engineering, and joined the Hyun group in 2022. He was born in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, and studied at the University of South Wales in Australia before coming to GTIIT. His research interests include 2D materials and electrochemical energy storage. He is active and sporty, and enjoys playing basketball and working out in spare time.

Xunjin Chen

She is an undergraduate student majoring in Materials Science and Engineering, and joined the Hyun group in 2022 with a research interest in 2D materials. She was born and raised in Shantou, Guangdong province, where GTIIT is located. So, she enjoys the benefits of GTIIT with proximity to her home. In her free time, she likes to participate in voluntary activities, travel, and practice calligraphy.

Jiafei Li

She is an undergraduate student studying Materials Science and Engineering, and joined the Hyun group in 2022. She is from Changchun in Jilin province, northeast China. She is enthusiastic about learning knowledge related to 2D materials and electronics to be an important female scientist and engineer in the future. She likes weight training in her spare time.
